MK SAFE NET KICK-OFF MEETING

Abstract

The MKSafeNet project, co-funded by the European Union’s Digital Europe program, aims to establish a National Center for a Safer Internet for children. The Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FINKI) at the “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje is one of the key partners in the project. This project focuses on enhancing national capacities to provide advice, support, and protection to children, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders regarding children’s digital safety issues.

The key objectives of the project include establishing a National Safer Internet Center (SIC). The SIC will serve as a comprehensive resource center, equipped with age-appropriate safety information, online safety education, tools to raise public awareness, and counseling services. FINKI contributes by providing technical expertise and resources to ensure that the center’s infrastructure is state-of-the-art. FINKI will also be involved in designing and developing the internal guidelines and protocols for the SIC.
