The VEZILKA Workshop is designed as an interactive and collaborative event focused on the potential of cutting-edge artificial intelligence and high-performance computing to drive digital transformation and innovation. Acting as North Macedonia’s national AI Factory Antenna and co-funded by the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), this initiative bridges advanced technological infrastructure with the practical needs of the local research and business communities.
The brainstorming session will bring together researchers, SME representatives, startups, and public sector professionals to delve into the core mechanics of trustworthy AI. Participants will discuss its applicability across five strategic pillars – Language & Culture, Public Administration, Health, Energy, and Agriculture – transforming data-driven solutions into practical tools that support everything from the preservation of the Macedonian language to smarter energy optimization and healthcare diagnostics.
Through collaborative engagement led by the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (FCSE) in Skopje, alongside international partners Pharos AI Factory and GRNET, attendees will identify how shared computing resources and expert training can augment local capabilities. The workshop will specifically address how to integrate these AI services to generate new economic pathways, build comprehensive skills development programs, and empower local innovators and institutions to effectively leverage artificial intelligence.
Vezilka AI Factory has received co-funding from the European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (JU) under grant agreement No. 101263128. The JU receives support from the Horizon Europe Programme of the European Union. Additional support is provided by the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, Ss.
